This is an earlier version of the Yamaha Pacifica. Best I can tell it is either a 1988 or 1998 from the serial number OL24087. Very good to excellent condition with rare OVS Old Violin Sunburst finish. All electronics working properly, plays and sounds great with good intonation and low action.

SSH pick-up configuration, 2 single coils, humbucker at bridge with 5 way switch. All original including whammy bar.

Despite its orthodox neck construction, the Pacifica series has been designed to meet the needs of a wide variety of musical genres and playing styles. The transducers used provide a wide sound characteristics from heavy lows to clean high cuts.

Bridge

Pickup The rear pickup is mounted directly to the body. This configuration enhances resonance, resulting in a richer and fuller sound than mounting on a pickguard plate.

The vintage locking saddle tremolo offers remarkable hand control as well as excellent tuning stability. The heavy, locking saddle helps achieve a rich, deep tone and singing sustain.
